Other Trainings & Workshops
Bring Your Business TA Online* | Working With WIBs |
With the current state of affairs, social distancing, and events being cancelled, those of us in economic development are left wondering how to best support business owners. One of the most obvious answers is to move technical assistance online. This 5-session Online Course will help you put your action plan in place. Design and develop an online program and learn the skills to deliver it in 2020. The program gives TA providers the skills, confidence, and practice to deliver engaging classes, group coaching sessions, and webinars online. | CAMEO developed a training module – “Understanding Entrepreneurship“- that provides a substantive orientation to entrepreneurship training and business assistance services for economic development and workforce professionals who are interested in local business development or are responsible for assessments and referrals of persons likely to succeed in self-employment. Staff training is key to integration of self-employment opportunities into the workforce system. In 2020, we became an approved consultant with the California Workforce Association and are on their CTI list. |
Individualized Training Programs | Organizational Technical Assistance |
CAMEO launched its Individualized Learning Program for Trainings and Professional Development in 2009. CAMEO has raised funds that will be used to partially defray trainings, workshops and events that help develop leadership and improve operations of our member organizations. | CAMEO works with members and other stakeholders on a short-term basis to address a specific issue or help launch a larger effort. For example, in Spring 2020 CAMEO has provided ongoing consulting to San Francisco’s District 10 Implementation Committee to facilitate a launch of a new $400,00 loan fund for district businesses, prioritizing loans, technical assistance and marketing to black-owned businesses. |
