After being laid off from a major airline in 2009, Johneric Concordia took the opportunity to put his barbecue skills to work by opening a his own food service business in Los Angeles.
Concordia developed his cooking skills while growing up in Echo Park’s historic Fillipinotown. His commitment to food and culture earned him the nickname “Farmer Johneric.”
With assistance and coaching from CAMEO member Asian Pacific Islander Small Business Program (APISBP) he secured $12,000 in startup capital from friends, family and community members.
