CAMEO Network: Together We Are Powerful
This year marks CAMEO’s 30th anniversary. In these three decades, our membership has grown from a couple of dozen to more than 400 organizations!
As our membership grows, so does our collective impact. We’re powerful because we work together. CAMEO’s essence lies in our network, so it’s time our name reflects it.
We are honored to be known as CAMEO Network, a name that celebrates the engine behind our work and our success – our members (click the link to learn more).
We revealed our new name at this week’s Advocacy Day, which was a huge success that we’ll tell you about next week!
Membership Webinar Next Week
A new name and logo aren’t the only things we are unveiling this month. We are also launching a new and improved CAMEO Academy, our online learning platform.
Join our webinar next Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 10:00am PT to learn about the new CAMEO Academy features as well as other membership benefits that can build your organization’s capacity! You’ll also hear more about CAMEO Network’s programs, our strategic direction, and our 30th anniversary celebration in November.
Federal Policy Update
The U.S. Congress has been working on a new farm bill, with the House Agriculture Committee releasing a draft of their farm bill version while the Senate released a summary of theirs.
Both versions outline reauthorization of and improvements to the Rural Microentrepreneur Assistance Program (RMAP) that were included in the Rural Microentrepreneur Assistance Act of 2023. This is great news for small business owners in rural communities! Now we must keep up the pressure in D.C. so these changes make it to the final version of the bill.
