This invitation is for CDFI’s only.
Dear Community Partner:
You are invited to attend the upcoming Banks and CDFIs in Partnership to Expand Small Business Lending Symposium scheduled for November 2, 2011, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, 101 Market Street, San Francisco. This interagency event is co-sponsored by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The goal for this Symposium is to provide the attendees with to thoughtfully evaluate similar partnerships for the communities they serve. Bankers, in particular, should find this information helpful in their efforts to help meet community credit needs under the Community Reinvestment Act.
Keynote speakers include Donna Gambrell, CDFI Fund Director and Marie Johns, SBA Deputy Administrator. Attendees for the Symposium are banks, small business-focused Community Development Financial Institutions, and government agencies.
The full-day Symposium will showcase innovative approaches to partnerships between banks and CDFIs that are helping to increase access to capital and credit for small businesses. Presentations on successful California models will allow attendees to drill down on both the mechanics and impact of their deals. We also will have an open forum to afford attendees an opportunity to share their best practices and discuss any challenge they may face in using CDFIs as intermediaries to lending to small businesses.
There is no cost to attend this invitation-only event; however, your RSVP by October 28 is required. Register today.
If you have any questions about the Symposium, you may contact FDIC Community Affairs Officer Linda Ortega at 415-808-8115, or Federal Reserve Community Development District Manager John Olson at 415-974-2989.
We look forward to seeing you on November 2.
