Get Your Senators to Sign the FY 12 CDFI Support Letter – Please Act Now

Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) has called on his colleagues in the Senate to join him on a letter to the Senate Appropriations Committee requesting $227 million for the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund in Fiscal 2012.

Contact your Senators today and ask them to co-sign the attached letter drafted by Senator Menendez and addressed to Senator Richard Durbin (D-IL), Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government, and Senator Jerry Moran (R-KS) the Subcommittee’s Ranking Member.

Senate offices interested in co-signing the letter should contact Keith Roachford with Senator Menendez (keith_roachford@menendez.senate.gov, phone (202) 224-4744). The deadline for signing is Tuesday, May 24th – so please act now.

A copy of the Fiscal 2011 CDFI Fund letter signed by Senator Menendez and 23 of his Senate colleagues is attached and we encourage you to remind your Senator if he/she signed last year.

We have also attached the one-pager describing the Fiscal 2012 appropriations request for the CDFI Fund.
