CFRC is Only IDA Program in LA

Community Financial Resource Center (CFRC) has offered Individual Development Accounts (IDA) since 2000 and since then participants have been awarded over $872,000 in grants and they have saved over $312,398. According to them, it is the only IDA provider in the Los Angeles County. (Email us if you know of others.)

CFRC can be a great referral source for people who want to start or expand their small business. The catch is that the program is for low-income individuals and families with earned income (part-time, full-time or self-employment). The total grant they receive at the end of 12-months is $2,500. Plus, the program is a federally funded program by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Download the IDA flyer to learn more.
