Elizabeth Pond moved from Waimea, on the Big Island of Hawaii, to Santa Barbara in 2007 to pursue better educational opportunities for herself and her two children. Upon completing the Professional Financial Planning program at UCSB, a CAMEO member, she was hired by a local financial planning firm. As, the U.S. financial markets began to fail in 2008 and 2009, she was laid off not too long after.
She decided to open her own company, Financial Health Services (FHS).Β FHS helps individuals achieve personal freedom through financial organization and planning.Β Using traditional bookkeeping and principled financial strategies, clients are able to identify and realize their goals and dreams in a confidential and supportive environment. She joined WEV because she needed help defining her business objectives, developing her marketing plans, and in networking.
Her transition from a micro enterprise client to advocate and provider herself has been the experience of a lifetime.
