MEHKO Program Updates
COOK Academy, a COOK Alliance initiative in partnership with CAMEO Network, is a free, eight-week educational program created to help home cooks start or expand their MEHKO business. Participants in the program will be eligible to earn three units of college credit and receive a $3,000 grant to jumpstart their MEHKO businesses.
COOK Academy applications are now being accepted on a rolling basis, and the application is available in Spanish! The Spanish-language version of the course will officially launch in January 2025.
CAMEO Members Receive 2024 CDFI Fund Awards
Last week, the CDFI Fund announced the awardees of the FY2024 CDFI Program. 332 organizations in 43 states received an award, totaling $257.1 million.
California organizations received a total of $34.2 million! And we are proud to announce that 12 CAMEO members received awards totaling $14.2 million. Congratulations to all these organizations!
And kudos as well to our CCCI friends: Clearinghouse CDFI, Low Income Investment Fund, and Rural Community Assistance Corporation.
