SBA Administrator Loeffler Issues Her Priorities for the Agency
As you may know, former Senator Kelly Loeffler was confirmed as Administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA) last week.
The SBA serves America’s 33 million small businesses, which form the foundation of the US economy by employing 46.4% of the U.S. private workforce and generating 44% of the nation’s GDP.
On Tuesday, Administrator Loeffler issued a Day One memo outlining her key priorities for the agency, including:
- Enforcing President Trump’s executive orders, including eliminating the DEIA office and pausing non-compliant grants.
- Empowering the Office of Advocacy to eliminate excessive regulations across federal agencies.
- Restoring the 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) contracting goal to its statutory 5% level.
Update on Corporate Transparency Act
The Corporate Transparency Act has faced a number of legal challenges, but its filing requirements are back in effect for most businesses. Per FinCEN’s February 19 announcement, companies must file their Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) report by March 21, 2025, while those formed after that date have 30 days from formation to comply.

CAMEO Network Celebrates Black History Month with Rep. Maxine Waters
Last week, CAMEO Network joined Congresswoman Maxine Waters in Inglewood to celebrate Black History Month at the grand re-opening of local shop The Level Up Store.
They were joined by Macedonia CDC, the California Office of the Small Business Advocate, and Mission Valley Bank to show that it takes a village, or a mesh network like the SCALE program, to raise a business.
