Legislative hearings are in full swing at the Capitol and two of CAMEO’s co-sponsored bills were heard this week!

SB 1482 (Protecting Business Borrowers – Glazer) and SB 1286 (Fair Business Debt Collection Practices – Min) passed the Senate Banking and Financial Institutions Committee and both now head to the Judiciary Committee where they’ll be heard next Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

Join our Train-the-Trainer webinar on “Employee Ownership” hosted by Project Equity on April 25, 2024 at 1:00pm PT. This training is part of CAMEO’s participation in the SSBCI program.

During the webinar, Project Equity will dive into an overview of employee ownership, the benefits, and potential challenges when accessing capital with an employee ownership structure.

The Responsible Business Lending Coalition (RBLC) announced Louis Caditz-Peck as its first Executive Director.

Louis has many years of leadership within the coalition as well as his work in fintech, bank, CDFI, and nonprofit advocacy organizations such as Self-Help Credit Union and LendingClub. You may also know him as a CAMEO board member. Congratulations to Louis! We look forward to working with him in his new role.
