Report: Impact of CDFI Lending by Race
“Place, Race, and CDFI Lending” is a recently published report by CDFI Friendly America which examines the relationships between CDFI Fund Investment Areas (IAs), majority-minority census tracts, and CDFI lending activity.
The researchers found that “majority-minority census tracts are much more likely to be IAs than other census tracts and that IAs are, as a result, disproportionately more likely
to be majority-minority. Therefore, CDFI lending—regardless of CDFIs’ stated goals—is more likely to benefit BIPOC people and communities than other people and places.”
