Happy Thanksgiving
As we sign off for a couple of days of rest, we look forward to gathering with friends and family, enjoying delicious food, and enough downtime to reflect on what has happened this year and what lies ahead. We are grateful for all the accomplishments we’ve achieved as an organization and as a network. We are grateful for 30 years of work with purpose. And most importantly, we are grateful for you, our members. We know that together, we will meet any challenges we may face.
November 30 is Small Business Saturday®! While those in our sector celebrate small businesses every day, this holiday is the perfect opportunity to amplify the products and services of your clients and help them have a great start to the holiday shopping season. If you haven’t, join the Small Business Saturday Coalition to receive materials and ideas to promote Shop Small.
Speaking of shopping – it’s time for the 2024 Holiday Gift Guide roundup! If your organization has a holiday gift guide, send it our way so we can share it on the CAMEO Blog and our social media channels.
CDFI Fund Anniversary and 2024 TA Awards
Last week, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen delivered remarks to mark the 30th Anniversary of the CDFI Fund, affirming the Fund’s importance for communities across America and how crucial it is to continue investing in this institution.
The CDFI Fund plays a big role in CAMEO Network’s and our members’ work. Also last week, the Fund awarded the largest number and amount of TA Awards in the history of the program, which included 21 CAMEO Network members – 4 from California and 7 across the United States for a total of $15.66 million.
