Gov. Newsom Unveils California Jobs First Economic Blueprint
Last week, Governor Newsom launched the California Jobs First Economic Blueprint. With $125 million in funding for ready-to-go projects, the initiative includes targeted support for small businesses, apprenticeship programs, and tribal economic development.
In Los Angeles, $13 million are dedicated to recovery efforts, including $10 million for the LA Region Small Business Relief Fund to rebuild fire-impacted communities and $3 million for the Los Angeles Jobs First Collaborative which includes public-facing campaigns to promote small business support.
Celebrating Women’s History Month: Spotlight on Microenterprise Collaborative of Inland Southern California
This Women’s History Month, CAMEO Network celebrates the Microenterprise Collaborative of Inland Southern California (MECISC), a woman-led organization supporting small businesses for nearly 15 years. Under Executive Director Pamela Deans, MECISC has expanded its impact, earning recognition as a 2024 Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Award winner. Read more about MECISC on the CAMEO Network Blog.
