Government Shutdown: What You Can Do
The federal government has officially shut down, creating uncertainty for small businesses that rely on SBA loans, certifications, federal contracts, and resource partners. This disruption threatens jobs, revenue, and community stability.
CAMEO Network worked with Public Private Strategies to prepare a guide with resources and talking points to help you communicate the impact to lawmakers. Take action and contact your elected officials! Urge Congress to come to an agreement and reopen the government.
On a related note, the CDFI Fund released an announcement on their operating status during the shutdown. For the duration of the shutdown the CDFI Fund will operate with limited staff and services. AMIS, CIMS, and the Fund’s website will remain accessible, though updates are paused. The AMIS Help Desk will assist with technical issues only. Certain CDFI and NACA Program applicants may continue application updates per existing deadlines, but new requests will be processed after the government reopens. Compliance and reporting obligations remain in effect, with deadlines viewable in AMIS. The October webinars are cancelled and may be rescheduled later. |
