Federal Programs Updates
On Monday, the House Appropriations Committee released its FY 2026 Financial Services and General Government (FSGG) bill, proposing:
- $276.6M for the CDFI Fund
- $150M for SBDC grants
- $27M for WBCs
- $8.5M for SCORE
While these numbers are closer to FY25 levels and much less steep than the President’s budget, final funding remains uncertain. Contact your legislators this summer and share how program cuts would affect your work and the businesses you support.
In other news, the Department of Treasury has named Dietrich Douglas as Acting Director of the CDFI Fund, following the resignation of Director Pravina Raghavan. Acting Director Douglas has served as the CDFI Fund’s Legal Counsel since January 2023. |
