State Policy Update
The California Legislature is currently on Summer Recess. Here’s what to expect when legislators reconvene in early August:
- After passing the Assembly Banking Committee last week, both SB 1286 (Min – Decency in Small Business Debt Collection) and SB 1482 (Glazer/Limon – Commercial Financing Protections) will be heard in the Assembly Appropriations Committee.
- SB 1103 (Menjivar – Small Commercial Tenant Protections) will be heard in the Assembly Floor.
But Summer Recess doesn’t mean no advocacy opportunities! Schedule meetings with your representatives while they are in your district and talk to them about the issues that matter most in your community.
