Strong lending programs depend on back-office operations. As CDFIs and mission- driven lenders continue to grow and evolve, it is more important than ever to invest in systems, processes, and team members that support lending from origination through portfolio management. At the same time, small businesses are facing uncertain times and external pressures. Keeping a close eye on origination all the way through portfolio management is mission-critical to ensure the success of both CDFIs and the small businesses they serve.
CAMEO’s National CDFI Academy is excited to announce our upcoming 5-course series on CDFI Functional Alignment and Portfolio Management from October 29th – December 3rd , 2026. Each course will run for 90 minutes with additional content and resources available to participants through CAMEO’s Online Learning Hub.
This series is designed to support team members at every stage of their development, whether they are new to the CDFI industry, transitioning into a new role, or experienced practitioners looking to deepen their knowledge and strengthen their practice. Each course will build on previous courses in the series and are designed to give you the tools, strategies, and operational insights you need to drive impact and efficiency within your back office.
Course 5: Portfolio Performance Oversight, December 3rd
- Understand portfolio performance oversight goals and policies.
- Identify activities for effect portfolio management oversight.
- Define roles and responsibilities in portfolio management.
- Learn about portfolio management reporting.
Who Should Attend:
This training is designed for team members from CDFIs, nonprofit lenders, and other mission-based lending organizations, including those working in portfolio management, collections, back-office operations, and leadership.
It is also relevant for business support organizations and technical assistance providers who want to better understand the lending process and strengthen the connection between technical assistance and a successful loan application.
Pricing:
The cost for the entire series is $625. While each course will build on content from the previous courses in the series, we understand the schedule may not work for everyone. You may sign up for individual courses for $125 per course. CAMEO members receive a 50% discount on all training. Through a special grant, we are able to offer the entire series for $125 to organizations located in, or serving, the San Francisco Bay Area.
