Grant Opportunity: The Small Business Administration (SBA) has issued Program Announcement No. PRIME-2011-01 to provide training and capacity building grant programs to microenterprise development organizations (MDOs). PRIME grants applications are due on July 23, 2011. The SBA expects to issue approximately $8,000,000 of awards under this Announcement. SBA anticipates making 90 awards in the range of $50,000 to $250,000.
Micro Enterprise Census: This year, we’d like to make it a little easier for you to complete our survey. We’re going to launch our survey next week, so gather your impact info. In the meanwhile fill out the 2011 U.S. Microenterprise Census.
White House Briefing Opportunity: Every Friday this summer, from June 17- August 26th, the White House will open its doors to community leaders from around the country to take part in our Community Leaders Briefing Series.
Grant Opportunity: Discretionary Funds for Refugee Childcare Microenterprise Development Project. This grant initiative will provide Micro Enterprise business opportunities to refugee women focusing on childcare mentoring programs that will facilitate integration into the U.S. cultural norms and State Childcare requirements. The deadline is July 05, 2011.
Funding Opportunity: The Jobs and Innovation Accelerator Challenge offers a combination of funding from three agencies and bureaus and technical assistance resources from 13 additional agencies and bureaus to support customized solutions for approximately 20 competitively selected industry clusters in urban and rural regions across the nation and across all sectors. The deadline is July 7, 2010.
