| The 2025 California legislative session wrapped up this month; 13 bills CAMEO Network sponsored or supported were signed into law. Key wins include stronger small business lending protections, streamlined restaurant permitting, privacy safeguards for street vendors, and stronger consumer protection enforcement. CAMEO Network also backed bills supporting nonprofits, disaster recovery, and community development—continuing our work to strengthen small businesses and communities across California. |

CAMEO Network Staff in DC
Adriana Williams, Baldev Birk, Caleb Ostrander, Douglas Craven, and Emily Gasner are in Washington, DC this week representing CAMEO Network at the 2025 OFN Conference.
Today our CEO, Carolina, met with Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID) and Representative Young Kim (R-CA), who are leading Congressional support of the CDFI Fund. CAMEO Network helped secure more than a dozen legislator signatures for a CDFI support letter authored by the two legislators.
Survey: Small Biz Perspective on Healthcare Affordability
Small Business for America’s Future released a new survey this week that highlights the urgent need to address the growing healthcare affordability crisis facing small businesses. The report reveals that 87% of respondents want to see healthcare tax credits made permanent.
