Recap: 30th Anniversary Celebration

CAMEO Network turned 30 years old in 2024, and we wanted to celebrate this milestone by honoring the purpose of our work – the motivation behind these past 30 years and what fuels us for the next 30.

Every session of our two-day conference was selected to reflect how our network builds a thriving, more equitable ecosystem that works for all through innovation and collaboration.

Thank you to all who attended our anniversary celebration, to the speakers who provided top-tier content, and to the sponsors who made it all possible. We owe this event’s success to you.

Read our CAMEO Blog for a full recap of our 30th Anniversary Celebration.

ICYMI: MEHKOs Are Now Legal in Los Angeles

Starting November 1, 2024, for the first time, Los Angeles County home cooks are able to obtain Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operations (MEHKO) permits, enabling them to legally sell prepared foods to the public.

This is a huge milestone for the MEHKO movement, and it shows the path forward for other counties to legalize home cooking businesses. CAMEO Network CEO, Carolina Martinez, and COOK Alliance‘s Executive Director, Roya Bagheri, co-wrote an op-ed for the San Bernardino Sun on why it’s time for San Bernardino to opt-in to the MEHKO program.
