MEHKOs Hit the Streets
As part of the California MEHKO Program, CAMEO Network and COOK Alliance are launching an awareness campaign to reach residents of counties where MEHKOs are legal, to inform them about the permits as well as COOK Academy, the free, eight-week educational program for home cooks that includes $3,000 grants to jump start their business.
If you are in the Bay Area, keep an eye out for MEHKO outdoor ads throughout October and November in the Fruitvale, West Oakland and MacArthur areas as well as San Jose and Santa Clara. Send us a photo!
And look for them in SoCal starting next week in Los Angeles, Riverside and San Diego!
Take Action: Call on Congress to Fund Disaster Loan Fund
The SBA’s Disaster Relief Fund ran out of funds to provide loans to small businesses on October 15, 2024, following the devastation caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
Swift and reliable disaster relief for small businesses is critical to keep local economies afloat. Sign our letter to Congress to ensure that the SBA Disaster Relief Fund is fully funded as part of the year-end spending package. This will safeguard the livelihoods of countless small business owners in areas across the country that are often at risk of natural disasters.
