As many of you know, CAMEO likes to experiment. For the past year, a cohort of 10 CAMEO members enrolled more than 100 entrepreneurs onto the Silver Lining Action Plan platform to apply behavioral science to TA.

Join us to debrief about this innovative program. We’ll discuss

  • how the platform helped our cohort’s clients with their business goals
  • lessons learned from the program
  • testimonies from TA organizations and small business owners

What is Behavior Change Science

Behavior change science is an interdisciplinary field that draws on psychology, sociology, economics, and other related fields to study how people can be encouraged to change their behavior. It involves the systematic application of evidence-based theories and techniques to design interventions that can help individuals and communities adopt healthier behaviors and achieve their goals.

The aim of behavior change science is to understand the factors that influence human behavior and develop effective interventions that can encourage people to adopt new habits, break unhealthy patterns, and make sustained changes to their lifestyles. This involves identifying the barriers to behavior change, developing strategies to overcome them, and evaluating the effectiveness of different interventions. Overall, behavior change science is an important field that has the potential to improve people’s health, well-being, and quality of life by helping them make positive changes to their behavior.

Our program is designed based on scientifically proven behavior change principles to help small business owners build profitable and sustainable growth. We are partnering with Silver Lining, who has developed a methodology to build a comprehensive action plan that works. Silver Linings’ science-based approach helps small business owners focus on actions based on their goals. Using people-centered methodologies grounded in behavioral science, we will provide the structure and support needed so that adopting the right behaviors soon becomes second nature.
